At 99 years young, Arthur Grabiner of New York City continues to inspire. A proud U.S. Navy veteran of World War II, Grabiner was awarded the prestigious Congressional Gold Medal last month—one of the nation’s highest civilian honors—in recognition of his courageous service.
During the war, Grabiner served aboard the USS Laurens in the Pacific Theater, taking part in pivotal battles including the Invasion of Lingayen Gulf in Northern Luzon and the Battle of Okinawa. Rising to the rank of Yeoman Second Class, he earned several distinguished decorations, including:
⭐ Asiatic Pacific Medal with 2 Stars
⭐ Philippine Liberation Ribbon with 1 Star
⭐ American Theater Medal
⭐ World War II Victory Medal

Even now, Arthur remains committed to service. You can find him volunteering at the Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum in New York City, sharing his stories and wisdom with younger generations.
Mr. Grabiner will celebrate his 100th birthday this December, and we salute him for a lifetime of dedication and patriotism.
Thank you for your service, Sir! 🇺🇸
